To change the mannequin's skin tone - before starting a project, at the create a new project or load an old one screen,
under the chubby or skinny there is two buttons click on the second one "Change Mannequin" button. This will bring up a
selection of skin tones, click the one you want and then click on the check mark. The Mannequin will keep that skin tone
when you go to create or load a project.
F3 - this will bring your mannequin closer to your screen, now you can move her around for a better view, here is how: - Turn the mannequin around from back to front – hold down the left mouse button and then moving your mouse in the direction you want or by using the “,” and “.” (I like to use the “,” and “.” keys to spin her, I find the lighting is better) - To position the mannequin so you can see her whole body and not just her head – hold down both the left and right mouse buttons and then move your mouse around until the mannequin is positioned the way you want. - To bring your mannequin closer to the screen or further away (zoom in / zoom out) – hold down the right mouse button then move your mouse
F5 – will change the default background to the user made background. - To make your own background – you can use any graphic program you use, or the default paint that comes with windows. Make any background or use any image that your want for the back ground just be sure that the size you need is 803 x 600 I also have seen others post the size to be 1024 x 1024 or 1024 x 768 but for me the 803 x 600 works best. Besides the size, make sure you name the file userBkg and be sure you save it as a bmp file. After you’re finished put the file in My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2
F6 – will move the mannequin’s arms straight out - getting her hands out of your way, to move them back click on any of the images and her arms should move back to the default.
Zooming in and out - use F8 to zoom in and F7 to return to the default
For full screen - use F9, hit F9 again to go back to the default screen.
